| TU/e Spectators' day |
The Spectator's Day is an annual event of the Eindhoven University of Technology aiming to stimulate young children's interest in technology. This year QTIS/e participated in this event. While parents and some older children learned more about the background of heart valve tissue engineering, the youngsters worked very hard to decorate their heart valves with cells and fibers in the most beautiful colors. Working with lab coats, gloves and pipettes (highly necessary to avoid risks of heart valve infection of course) made the assignment extra exciting. Hundreds of children produced the most creative artworks, all in order to receive their highly desired Heart Valve Diploma. This day will most certainy contribute siginificantly to the education of future tissue engineers in the Netherlands.

| An all time high of 7.000 visitor's were recorded for the TU/e Spectator's Day 2008. We will never know if this was caused by the miserable autumn weather or perhaps by the first presence of QTIS/e at this event ..... |
