The foundations for QTIS/e were laid in a longstanding research collaboration between the department of Soft Tissue Biomechanics and Engineering of the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) and the Cardiovascular Surgery department of the University Hospital of Zurich (UHZ). The unique combination of the Eindhoven engineering approach with the Zurich clinical expertise has led to several breakthroughs in the area of cardiovascular tissue engineering.
Besides these two primary partnerships QTIS/e collaborates with many other parties within our national and international research consortia. This way QTIS/e has set up an excellent international network to support our cardiovascular tissue engineering R&D programs.
