Martijn Cox After obtaining his Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2004, Martijn Cox PhD) continued his work in Eindhoven as a PhD student in the Tissue Engineering research group of prof. Baaijens. The specific focus of his PhD work, which he successfully finished in 2009, was on the mechanics of tissue engineered heart valves during their in vitro development. In 2007, Martijn joined the management team of QTIS/e. In 2010, Martijn obtained a Master in Business Innovation from the prestigious TiasNimbas business school. Martijn’s focus within QTIS/e is on organization, strategy and finance. |

Mirjam Rubbens Mirjam Rubbens (PhD) obtained a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology in 2004. In 2009, Mirjam successfully defended her PhD thesis, which focussed on the effect of in vitro mechanical conditioning on extracellular matrix remodelling in cardiovascular tissues. In 2007, Mirjam joined the management team of QTIS/e and in 2010 she obtained a Master in Business Innovation from TiasNimbas business school. Based on her large in vitro culture experience, Mirjam is responsible for the R&D within QTIS/e.
